Os življenja (Axis of Life) (1987)

The story of the video Axis of life is that of two women remembering their “common” husband – a man who is imputed to have killed both of them, whereas in fact they are alive and they have murdered the husband. Almost a traditional detective story, using video, is actualised in the context of the aesthetics and mythology of the 1980s. All the scenery and imagery in this video piece are constructed using the synthesised video image; films inserts are taken from the black and white film Doma (At home) by Grzinic and Smid made in 1986.
