The video was produced in close collaboration with the Slovenian theatre director Vito Taufer, drawing on his ideas about the emptiness of theatrical space, the role of the actor, and sound as a form of language. It explores relationships within space, the dynamics between male and female, and the nature of theatre itself.
The work is structured around four elemental motifs—blood, oil, fire, and smog—and is conceptually grounded in Alain Badiou’s philosophical writings on ethics, capital, and the empty state of democracy.
The narrative unfolds through a series of visual and cinematic fragments or quotations, including references to hysteria, the alienated human, Kubrick’s cocoon, the space of sacrifice, and the figure of the modern Kaspar Hauser (30 April 1812 – 17 December 1833). He was a German youngster who claimed to have spent his entire childhood in complete isolation, confined to a small, darkened cell with virtually no human contact.
