{"id":172,"date":"2013-02-12T19:13:45","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T19:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grzinic-smid.si\/wp\/?page_id=172"},"modified":"2026-04-25T15:50:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T15:50:16","slug":"videography","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/grzinic-smid.si\/?page_id=172","title":{"rendered":"BIO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Marina&nbsp;Gr\u017eini\u0107 &amp; Aina \u0160mid<\/strong><br><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">contact:&nbsp; margrz@zrc-sazu.si<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marina Gr\u017eini\u0107 and Aina \u0160mid have been working with video since 1982.<\/strong> They participated in more than 40 video art projects, shot a 16mm short film and created numerous video and media installations; they independently directed several video documentaries and television productions.<\/p>\n<p>In 1997, they created an interactive CD-ROM for the ZKM in Karlsruhe. Gr\u017eini\u0107 and \u0160mid presented and exhibited their video works and video installations at more than 100 video festivals around the world and received several important awards for their video production.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marina Gr\u017eini\u0107<\/strong> (1958) holds a PhD in philosophy and works as a Principal Research Associate at the Institute of Philosophy of the Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU) in Ljubljana. She also works as a freelance media theorist, art critic and curator. Gr\u017eini\u0107 is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She has published hundreds of articles and essays, as well as numerous books.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aina \u0160mid<\/strong> (1957) is an art historian. She was editor of a design magazine in Ljubljana and worked as a freelance writer.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u017eini\u0107 and \u0160mid had several presentations of their video films in 2022 and their work was also presented in two lectures by Marina Gr\u017eini\u0107 at ERG (Brussels) and ISELP (Brussels). The program was organized by Cinematek Brussels (Christophe Piette, Iris Lafon, Magali Michaux, Velerie Leclercq participated).<\/p>\n<p>Marina Gr\u017eini\u0107&nbsp; is a curator of the exhibitions <em>SLOVENIAN PUNK &amp; PHOTOGRAPHY<\/em> (5. 12. 2023 \u2013 11. 2. 2024, Galerija CD, Ljubljana); PUNK. From 2016 to 2018, Gr\u017eini\u0107 collaborated with curator and artist Aneta Stojni\u0107. Since 2020, she has been collaborating with Tja\u0161a Kancler and Jovita Pristov\u0161ek.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023 <strong>Marina Gr\u017eini\u0107&nbsp;<\/strong> in collaboration&nbsp; with <strong>Tja\u0161a Kancler and&nbsp; Jovita Pristov\u0161ek,<\/strong> made the experimental feature-length documentary video film <strong>Insurgent Flows. Trans*Decolonial and Black Marxist Futures<\/strong> (2023), and co-authored with them the exhibition INSURGENT FLOWS. THRIVING OF BLACK, BROWN, INDIGENOUS, QUEER AND TRANS VITALITIES.
